[ He tossed back the shot, shaking his head a little as it went down, then tugged the scotch to him and sipped slower. ]
So, now you know the terrible secret of my middle name.

And neither of us died. [ Seriously. Not that big a secret. ]

[ Whoops. He had said that aloud hadn't he? Looks like the shots and the scotch were finally kicking in. About time too.
He smiled at the waitress and said thank you before taking up his sandwich, biting into it and very pleased with the final product. Cheesy, tomato, even some basil. Classy. ]

[ Because, why not. ]
Hitting the spot?

What do you mean we have that in common?
[ Nope, not letting that one slide. He wasn't that drunk yet, Damon. ]

Care to elaborate?

Second time was because of what amounted to a nuclear bomb on a mission in Luceti. Time or something got re-wound, so it was like it hadn't happened, but we remembered it.
[ Short and sweet, there you go Damon. ]
no subject
[ Huh, Kirk? He holds a hand up, sticking one and then two fingers out as he lists his deaths. ]
The first time came when the girl my brother and I both loved turned us into vampires. And the second time came when I got sucked into oblivion and spent four months in the year 1994. Same day, over and over. And then I made it back. [ Oh, did he say that? It really is about time. Kirk doesn't seem like the type to be yelling it to the rafters. Not really. ]

The scotch stops on it's way to his lips and he looks at Damon for a long moment. He liked to think he knew when the other was shitting with him, and he didn't think this was one of those times. The subject wasn't exactly one you joked around with, for all he was talking of it lightly. It was understood you didn't lie about things like that. ]
Huh. I've met a vampire hunter before, but not a vampire. Guess she was telling the truth.
[ And really, once you've hung out with gods, super soldiers, and a lizard woman - a vampire is pretty mundane. ]

[ He snorts a laugh at the face though. ]

[ Smirking, there's a lot of smirking going on Damon. Not that he doesn't believe you, but come on - you're the least scary vampire next to some cute school girl with bouncy blonde curls. ]

[ He reached up, placing a finger on Damon's forehead and pushing him back. ]

[ He shrugged, smirking, but Damon had told him he wasn't interested like that, and he respected that once the line was drawn. Didn't mean he couldn't flirt a little, or tease, but he'd keep his lips to himself unless Damon said otherwise. ]
Why, having a change of heart?
[ A brow arched, teasing him. He took another bite of his sandwich, because it was a shame to let good toast and cheese go to waste. ]

Yeah, or women - though I'm partial to color green in them. Like I told you, I don't discriminate. It's about the good time, not about the parts.
