_{[ Kirk is quiet through it all, sometimes shifting in his chair, but otherwise not causing trouble. Surprise. He was content to let himself drift some, mind bubbling to much for him to go anyplace he didn't want to venture to. ]}

Getting antsy? [ He is almost done, actually, as he shuts the system off and logs out. ] Still a walking basketcase? [ The nicest, Damon. ]

_{[ He opened his eyes and slid off the chair, blinking, but keeping himself upright and not stumbling. Points for him. ]}

[ He eyes that, before moving around the bar, and joining him, bringing the lights down low above the bar itself. ]

Better than being a walking nothing. Come on. [ Should he need to, his arm slides around Kirk's back/wait to hold him up. Should he NEED IT. ]

_{[ He manages all right, though he drifts a bit. But he's not a light weight, and he knew how to hold himself together. You had to, to survive San Fran or even Riverside depending on the people. ]}

_{{ He turned his pout on Damon. It didn't always come out, but the use of his middle name was a very good reason for it to come out, and so it did. ]}

And it might actually kill me. They effectively neuter vampires here. [ He hates it. But, he's laughing. ] I'd still back me in a fight.

_{[ There's a thoughtful pause at that, Kirk blinking at Damon as thoughts bumped around inside his head. ]}

Do you still need to drink blood?

I do. I see we've reached the Q and A part of this friendship. [ Don't point, don't scare it. It's no big, he just said you were friends, that's all. Don't ruin it, Kirk. ]

_{[ It's like observing a wild animal. Be very quiet. Maybe if you sit still long enough it'll come and eat out of your hand. Or not eat you. Something like that. ]}

So - where do you get it? The blood, I mean.

_{[ It sounded perfectly reasonable, and it wasn't hurting anybody, so no need to protest. It was almost kind of cool, having a vampire for a friend. ]}

Is your brother one too?

[ Crossing the street, like you do. ] Mhm. Family of vampires.

_{[ He takes a full moment to consider that, because it's quite the concept. A whole family of vampires - though in this case "whole" meant two brothers, which really wasn't that big. It didn't much change his opinion of Damon either way. As far as he knew, Damon hadn't attacked anyone that he knew of, and he was his friend. So long as he got the blood legally, well, so what if he drank it? Kirk didn't think he'd ever actually want to watch him do it, though.}

Questions fluttered up, dived away, hard to grasp in his current state. ]

Does this mean I've come full circle? Meet the vampire hunter, now I've met the vampire? Er, vampires.

_{[ His shoulder bumped Damon's as they walked, hands tucked into his pockets. ]}

So, what's it like - being a vampire?

_{[ Lucid enough to ask, probably to retain most of what Damon said on the subject. ]}

It's great. Not so much here. Amplified senses, amplified emotions. Everything intensifies. You feel it more. Ten times as strong. Ten times as fast. And I did have a magic ring that let me walk not only in daylight but crappy, artificial daylight.

That sounds... really cool, and at the same time like it's just way to much effort to be a vampire.
