How far is your place?

[ He waves to one of the waitresses and leads Kirk through the bright, lit casino to the lobby. ]

[ He yawned, bumping his shoulder against Damon's. ]
I didn't really get to try out the couches at the party, even though I helped you buy them.

[ He shrugs, not at all apologetic. ]

{ He turned his pout on Damon. It didn't always come out, but the use of his middle name was a very good reason for it to come out, and so it did. ]
What did I tell you about my middle name?

Shut up, I did not. I know exactly what I said about it. I've been in your apartment before, I can find a sharp object.

Do you still need to drink blood?

So - where do you get it? The blood, I mean.

[ It sounded perfectly reasonable, and it wasn't hurting anybody, so no need to protest. It was almost kind of cool, having a vampire for a friend. ]
Is your brother one too?

[ He takes a full moment to consider that, because it's quite the concept. A whole family of vampires - though in this case "whole" meant two brothers, which really wasn't that big. It didn't much change his opinion of Damon either way. As far as he knew, Damon hadn't attacked anyone that he knew of, and he was his friend. So long as he got the blood legally, well, so what if he drank it? Kirk didn't think he'd ever actually want to watch him do it, though.
Questions fluttered up, dived away, hard to grasp in his current state. ]
Does this mean I've come full circle? Meet the vampire hunter, now I've met the vampire? Er, vampires.

Full circle it is.
[ His shoulder bumped Damon's as they walked, hands tucked into his pockets. ]
So, what's it like - being a vampire?
[ Lucid enough to ask, probably to retain most of what Damon said on the subject. ]

[ Feeling everything so intensely? It sounded like a pain. He'd never heard of being a vampire amplifying emotions though, that was new. Senses, sure, but not emotions. ]

[ He blinked baby blues at Damon, not pulling away from the sudden closeness, a little to drunk to worry for personal space. ]

He let out a snort at the last bit, shaking his head because that sounded very close to something he himself might say, but that's why they were friends, right? ]
Well, I'll have to be sure to sign up the next time the recruiter comes around.
