_{[ There's a thoughtful pause at that, Kirk blinking at Damon as thoughts bumped around inside his head. ]}

_{[ It sounded perfectly reasonable, and it wasn't hurting anybody, so no need to protest. It was almost kind of cool, having a vampire for a friend. ]}

_{[ He takes a full moment to consider that, because it's quite the concept. A whole family of vampires - though in this case "whole" meant two brothers, which really wasn't that big. It didn't much change his opinion of Damon either way. As far as he knew, Damon hadn't attacked anyone that he knew of, and he was his friend. So long as he got the blood legally, well, so what if he drank it? Kirk didn't think he'd ever actually want to watch him do it, though.}

Questions fluttered up, dived away, hard to grasp in his current state. ]

So, what's it like - being a vampire?

It's great. Not so much here. Amplified senses, amplified emotions. Everything intensifies. You feel it more. Ten times as strong. Ten times as fast. And I did have a magic ring that let me walk not only in daylight but crappy, artificial daylight.

That sounds... really cool, and at the same time like it's just way to much effort to be a vampire.
