Let's Try This Again [ Action + Locked Voice ]
[ Locked to Arya, Spock, and Emil - 90% Unhackable ]
Okay, so, seems Luceti doesn't want us hanging out at a camp site, but screw that, we're going this weekend. I still have all the stuff, so we're pretty much set. But, uh, Spock you're going to have to get yourself some other clothes. I still only have the ones we picked for your bitty self...
[ Locked to Spock, 100% Unhackable ]
Hey, I want to talk to you about something. Let me know when you got time, we can go down to Buffy's or something, get a drink, and talk there.
[ All of that done, it was time to go and run some errands and fill up his day - which suddenly seemed a bit harder than it should.
He could at least start by really getting back into his workout. It had kind of gone wonky the last few weeks. Don't even get him started on the last weekend. He could still hear that odd speech pattern in his head and it made him wince. How? How had anyone put up with that? And he had been posing, hadn't he? He was sure he had, because he remembered looking at himself in the mirror... and no. Nope. Not going there. He was going to the battle dome now and he was going to make use of it. He spent the morning working out against simulations and doing resistance training, the release of exercise endorphines sending a nice, happy tingle through him.
Eventually, he had to stop though and get some real errands done - which basically meant the grocery story because somehow that had become his job when it came to feeding two grown adults, a teenage girl, and a wolf the size of a pony. Seriously, you try telling that thing what it can and cannot eat. If it wants to eat, it eats. Which meant grocery shopping and hauling it all back.
But even with doing that, it left an afternoon partially open, and he wanted to do something new. And what might that be? Well... why not go to the barn? He knew they had one and had horses (it made sense since they had ponies, right?), and while he had never really been much of an animal person, it might not be a bad idea to become acquainted with another potential forms of transportation after all. That in mind, he headed that way, with a pocket full of carrots. Horses like carrots, right? ]

Presently, she's hovering around one of the apple trees, attempting to knock some down. It's what Applejack would want, after all, but... Hold the phone. Who's this dude?
Leaving her attempted apple bucking behind for the time being, Dash swoops down to investigate.]
You know, it's not every day somebody marches all the way out here.

[ Considering he's friends with Twilight, seeing a pony like Rainbow Dash isn't as jarring as it might seem. Nor is her flying, again because of Twilight, and a part of him remembers this one, having talked to them like once back when Simba was around. Oh Simba...
Well, a pony at a barn. Not that odd then.
He smiled at her, shrugging his shoulders. ]
I had some free time on my hands and figured I should come out here at least once.

Well, here it is. Stinks that AJ's not here anymore; bet the place would've been way more lively with her running the show.
no subject
Are there actually any horses here? I guess there would be by the smell...
[ Let's face it, equine animals all had a unique sort of smell, no two ways about it. ]
no subject
[Pardon the faint shift in expression for a split-second; the stables make her uneasy for obvious reasons.]
Don't hang out there myself, but I know I've seen people riding before.
no subject
[ He cocked his head, for a moment finding that odd, but then, their world was one where people didn't exist and ponies... horses had minds, wills, everything of their own. He guess the idea of humans riding anything equine must seem wrong, somehow. ]
Huh. What, the other horses not very talkative?
no subject
[And to emphasize this, she crosses her forelegs like a human would cross their arms.]
It's like... I guess I'd compare it to hue-mans and monkeys. Similar, but there's obviously gonna be some communication problems.
no subject
[ It was a comparison he had never thought of, but was actually very apt.
He blinked and nodded. ]
Yeah, I can see how that would be odd. To be fair, though, I don't think normal horses can cross their legs simply because their anatomy doesn't allow for it.
no subject
[Being unable to swat sucks, she's sure.]
no subject
Well, that's what they have their tails for. And they're built to handle their weight and specific locomotion requirements. And they pick things up with their mouths well enough, I guess. I don't think they need to actually pick things up most of the time anyways.
no subject
That'd be a whole lot tougher if we couldn't move our front legs around.
no subject
Different planets, different species. Horses are... dog smart, I guess, but they're not smart like you or Twilight. The stuff you do probably would never occur to them.
no subject
[Heh.]
Besides, I'm sure they wouldn't complain if you did wanna take one for a ride. They might even be a little restless.
no subject
Haha, I don't think I should. I've never really ridden one before, though there was one time on a pony at a fair, but I don't think that really counts.
no subject
[She emphasizes this with a flap of her wings. Yup.]

And I am all for that method, but machines are usually easier to deal with than actual animals.
[ It was odd. He didn't fear dying in space or on a machine, but on a horse? Cracking your skull open seemed terrible. ]
