World 03 - Returning to Normal Space [ Action / Audio ]
[ Okay, this sucked. This really, really sucked. To be quite honest he wasn't very sure how long he had been locked up and poked and prodded, but it was long enough and he had never been quite so happy for fresh air and trees. He just hated that he was jumping at every little crack and tweet. He hadn't been this twitchy since... well, he couldn't remember. Maybe his first big storm, but what did it matter? He was twitchy, but wouldn't you be after being held captive for so long?
And he was seriously out of shape if this jaunt through the wood was making him pant and sweat. He gulped, aching everywhere, and pretty sure that his already bruised up body would not thank him for this later. In fact, it was not thanking him now. It was violently protesting, and he finally gave him and found a place to ease himself down and sit.
He thought it must have been some sort of cruel mercy that his captors had given him back his journal-thing when he woke up inside the forest of his original birdcage. He glared at it for a minute as he tried to remember how to turn it on, and finally got it going, so a little image of him appeared to whoever was listen. ]
So, contrary to what I assume is popular belief, I'm not dead. But, uh, could use some help making it all the way home, you know? I'm sitting in the woods, hugging a tree, so come and find me. I don't plan on moving any time soon.
[ He doesn't think he looks to bad to others, at least. He has a few bruises around his jaw and nose, but otherwise does not seem overly harmed. Though the bruises are a lovely shade of blue and green at this point. ]
[ooc: Yup, he's back from kidnapping!! With a little side-effect: his flirt skills are going to be seriously cramped for a bit, since anytime he sees a girl, he'll get physically ill. Don't take it personally ladies.]

[He sighed. It wouldn't take them much longer to reach the village and, by extension, Community House 1.]
Re: [voice]

He paused for a moment to catch his breath and assess the surroundings. Maybe it was the chill that made everything more difficult, he wondered. Regardless, he kept his cool.]
Shouldn't be much further. We'll want to get you showered too. And clothes.
Re: [voice]
I say Merry Christmas all I want. I was raised on Christmas.
But you doing okay? Not used to cold weather?
[voice]
[Said simply, concisely. Kirk didn't need to know about what he experienced last summer--that was outside, personal information.]
And I think I can see the forest clearing ahead. Your place or mine?
Re: [voice]
[He was hurt, but he was a man, damn it! He would act like one... and play it up later against Spock.]
[voice]
[Nevermind that he's had a certain Vulcan sleeping in the spare room of his apartment for the last six weeks.]
We can get your clothes that way too. Mine won't fit you. You're too...
[Stocky. Broad. Muscular. Built like a soldier.]
Re: [voice]
[It was true. Beneath his clothes, Kurt had dropped a few pounds and quite a bit of muscle tone. It was going to take some seriously hard work to get it back.]
[voice]
Trust me. You won't.
[His suits were custom tailored for a reason. Lupin was a very slender, leggy man. Normal sizes simply didn't fit him right.]
Re: [voice]
Heh, fine by me anyways. I was never a suit man.
[voice]
He held his tongue, for the sake of their mutual friend.]
It'll be a bit longer to get to your place then. That. [He pointed at the apartment building.] Is mine.
[He kept his pace even but slow for Kirk to keep up as he deviated from the earthen paths in the town to get to the other house more quickly. Don't even ask how Lupin knew which one or where it was.]
Re: [voice]
[He was panting, his bruises, dehydration, and mal-nutrition getting to him.]
[voice]
Re: [voice]
[He pauses and gives the other a look.]
What, are you harboring a rabid badger or something?
[voice]
That's none of your business.

Re: [voice]
[But he was was perspiring some, which wasn't a good sign for the normally fit man.]
[voice]
You're lucky that one of my neighbors decided to splurge and give us an elevator then. He's a good [and lazy] man.
Re: [voice]
[He grinned something, though it was marred by his bruises and fell quickly as the pain spiked through this nerves.]
[voice]
...I'm no doctor, but I can do coffee.
[He's ignoring that comment, not in the mood to deal with it. They were at the door in moments and Lupin held it open for him.]
After you.
Re: [voice]
He shuffled in and groaned as he leaned back against the elevator wall, getting his breath back.]
You know... thanks, really. For coming to get me.
[voice]
You're you, and a friend of a friend. How could I not?
