World 03 - Returning to Normal Space [ Action / Audio ]
[ Okay, this sucked. This really, really sucked. To be quite honest he wasn't very sure how long he had been locked up and poked and prodded, but it was long enough and he had never been quite so happy for fresh air and trees. He just hated that he was jumping at every little crack and tweet. He hadn't been this twitchy since... well, he couldn't remember. Maybe his first big storm, but what did it matter? He was twitchy, but wouldn't you be after being held captive for so long?
And he was seriously out of shape if this jaunt through the wood was making him pant and sweat. He gulped, aching everywhere, and pretty sure that his already bruised up body would not thank him for this later. In fact, it was not thanking him now. It was violently protesting, and he finally gave him and found a place to ease himself down and sit.
He thought it must have been some sort of cruel mercy that his captors had given him back his journal-thing when he woke up inside the forest of his original birdcage. He glared at it for a minute as he tried to remember how to turn it on, and finally got it going, so a little image of him appeared to whoever was listen. ]
So, contrary to what I assume is popular belief, I'm not dead. But, uh, could use some help making it all the way home, you know? I'm sitting in the woods, hugging a tree, so come and find me. I don't plan on moving any time soon.
[ He doesn't think he looks to bad to others, at least. He has a few bruises around his jaw and nose, but otherwise does not seem overly harmed. Though the bruises are a lovely shade of blue and green at this point. ]
[ooc: Yup, he's back from kidnapping!! With a little side-effect: his flirt skills are going to be seriously cramped for a bit, since anytime he sees a girl, he'll get physically ill. Don't take it personally ladies.]

We now share a mental connection Captain. [...a rather small one though....]
no subject
Run that by me again?
no subject
It would seem that during the bout of Amnesia my mental shields were down. When we came into contact our minds called out to each other and established a connection. That is why I was able to find you this evening.
[Spock suddenly looks nervous...] You have my apologies Captain. This is a major Vulcan offence and an act which would have been dealt with severely...It will not be a burden. I am able to properly shield myself now... you will barely know of its existence.

His stomach dropped a bit.]
Spock... how much... did you... did you feel me when I was with them? Did you feel what they did to me?
no subject
You must understand Captain, that my shields were completely down for some time after the Shift... [...In other words... yes.]

He looked down at his pancakes, picking at them, trying to process this. But mostly hating that Spock had to go through that with him. The guilt and worry ran through him, loud and clear, for once his usual swagger and charm gone in the face of this revelation, knocking him back on his heels so to speak.]
no subject
Do not feel guilty Captain, this was not your fault... it was entirely mine. And as soon as I am able I will repair the damage I have done and inflicted upon you.
no subject
No, it's okay Spock. It's not bad, you know. I mean, it's weird, knowing that, but... I trust you. I trust you not to use it to hurt me.
no subject
Not meeting his gaze...]
Very well Captain... You should finish your plate...
[However.... knowing that Jim put so much trust in him meant a lot. He did not know how to express how much it meant to him at that moment. It felt like being forgiven.

[He offered him a soft smile, turning back to his meal and eating dutifully, actually glad for real food in his stomach. It felt like forever since he had eaten something with flavor and substance.]
no subject
Spock takes a moment to observe the Captain eat.. satisfied that he would finish his plate.
He stand and goes to the kitchen counter to make some tea.]
It would seem that the connection has some positive effects... [Not that he sounded disdainful or anything...]
no subject
[He knew they had some mind power, like the Mind Meld the older Spock had done on him, but he had not heard of more powerful versions.]
no subject
N-negative Captain. You may sometimes experience emotional transference, and a general sense of where the other is. Anything further is an unrelated connection.
no subject
Oh, well, that's good. I wasn't sure how I was going to handle talking mind to mind to you anyways. I've always wondered how that worked though. Would you hear it in English or would I hear it in Vulcan?
no subject
It entirely depends in what language you normally think in Captain....
[Spock poured the hot water into a cup... and once again took his seat across from Jim.]
I believe that is enough information for the time being.
no subject
[He paused, trying to concentrate, and thought that he could feel... frustration? Maybe, but if there was any it was Spock, not himself.]
So, is there a way to... make this thing work back and forth? I don't have much control of it, I'm guessing.
no subject
However, for now, rest. Then later we can meditate. Do you need help to your room?
no subject
[He got up, wiping his mouth and looked back at him.]
Hey, Spock... let's keep dissolving it as a last resort, okay?
no subject
Of course Captain. Sleep well.
[There was some hesitation...] Let me know if you require any further assistance.
no subject
~Let me know if you want to continue this... XD <3
When Jim has securely shut the door behind him, Spock puts his head in his hands and trembles for a moment. Jim....
