If ya lucky I might even make it a date night in, make ya dinner 'nd stuff. [Because Remy enjoyed having an excuse to cook for others.] 'nd ya can do breakfast. [Since Jim was good at that.]
Ya say that like that wasn't goin' to happen at some point. It be a snow planet, 'nd I hate the snow 'nd cold, so of course we were goin' to hide 'way 'nd do that. [Also... Remy was a romantic dork who could not go past the opportunity to steal Jim away for some time alone in a cabin surrounded by snow.
Seriously, who did you think he was?] Need to find a good brandy though.
Be ya 'mplyin' that I should take stock from m' own place 'nd use it for myself? To be so unprofessional for personal satisfaction? [Remy let that hang for a moment.] Because I will. [But seriously, he will replace it as soon as he could. He was not going to let that place get ruined under his watch, he wouldn't let Nami down.]
Such a shinin' example of a leader. [It however was said with a grin.] Ok, give me a bit to get over there 'nd get stuff sorted 'nd will meet ya at the bar. [It wouldn't take Remy long to pack, he always kept an emergency bag ready to go. Never know when you had to make a run for it or be ready to move at a moments notice.]
[ He shut off the feed and finished packing, sealing the door and
making sure the slugs were in a safe place and left a message for Chekov.
That done, he got in the shuttle and headed off to the Iskaulit, settling
into the docking bay to wait for his lover, bag thrown in the back and
bundled up ready to brace and face the cold. ]
[Going through the stocks, and sorting out a couple of bottles of something very nice, Remy packed them into his bag before meeting up with Jim. He wasn't a fan of the cold, and was still slowly getting his cold weather clothing stocks back up, but he had managed to get a handful of stuff when they had first arrived on the planet.
Then again, he was looking forward to not needing them once they had settled into where they were staying.]
Hey cher, fancy meetin' ya here. [A happy grin on his face and aimed at Jim.]
[ Kirk smiled when his lover got in the shuttle. It was really good to
see him. To see that flash of red hair and dark gaze and that warm smile
that always made a little bit of his insides melt. He leaned over, gripping
the back of his neck and drawing him in, giving him a kiss with a thrum of
hunger beneath the softness of it. ]
Hope you have everything, because once we're in that cabin, we're not
leaving for at least twenty-four hours.
[Now that was a greeting he always adored, smiling into the kiss before returning it properly.]
Ya know, I could go all romantic 'nd say all I need be ya... but with being practical, oui, I think I do. [Another kiss before he got his stuff all stored away and seated for the flight.]
[ That earned a laugh, and with the door sealed he lifted off and headed for the planet. He didn't say much on the ride, but he didn't feel he needed to. Not yet. He liked these quiet moments between them anyways. When they were just together, either beside each other or in each other's arms. It was comfortable and warm and safe. He braced when they landed for the door to open, pulling his coat tight as he jumped out and went to meat the lodge director. He spoke quickly, paid the credits, and motioned for Remy to come along.
The cabin was not large, but it was pleasantly appointed and warm. A small kitchen along one corner, enough to make a small meal with a wine cooler and fridge to boot. A fireplace crackled, a fur rug draped in front of it along with a plush couch and two equally plush chairs. A bedroom suit was down a short hall - king size, with an equally king sized, spa like bathroom. Blankets were draped over the couch and chairs and the end of the bed, a complimentary bottle of wine already in the cooler.
Hey, you get what you pay for.
Kirk dumped his bag and coat in the bedroom and came back out to the main room, going to the fire and holding his hands towards it. ]
[Silence was fine, which was saying something for him. Remy normally had the need to fill the empty air, to talk to make up for other things. But not around those he was close to, those who were special. And Jim was one of them. As long as he had his cards to keep his hands busy, he was happy.
Bundling up for the track between the ship and cabin, Remy huffed a little at the cold, slinging his bag over a shoulder and tucking his hands into the pockets of his coat, dropping his face down into its collar to keep as warm as he could as he tracked over to the lodgings. Once inside and tapping any caught snow off his boots, he glanced around the place while also dropping off his stuff in the bedroom, a hum of approval at several things before joining Jim.]
I think ya sure know how to spoil me, cheri, which be good, ya know I got high standards. [A bright grin with that as he moved in closer so he could slip an arm around Jim's waist, pressing a kiss against his temple.]
[ He leaned into Remy, reaching up and wrapping his arms around the Cajun, pressing his head into the touch of lips. He turned his head and nuzzled his cheek against Remy's scruff, taking a moment to enjoy the smell of him, a rich sort of spice that always made him feel warm and made his nose tingle just a bit. ]
Was just 'bout to say that. [Another kiss, enjoying the closeness before mumbling against his ear softy.] Ya hungry? I can cook. Put something together to go with that wine. Or we should skip solids 'nd just work with liquids.
[ A long, low humming sound made its way out of him as he tilted his head slightly, eyes rolling slowly as he debated. Food, or having more carnal appetites sated? Both were tempting - Remy cooked a mean meal, in many ways. He turned his head back to Remy and leaned in, taking a third kiss, nibbling along his lips. ]
Maybe enough for a light snack. Save the main course for later.
[ He flashed a grin, stepping away from his lover to settle himself by the fire with a blanket, angled so he could watch Remy work his magic. ]
So canapes 'nd wine by the fireside then? [Also, if he's going to get that nibble, Remy made sure he could give Jim's butt a bit of a pinch before he got too far away, grinning at being a pest like that.
Glancing around the kitchen to see what he had to work with, he was kind of cheating, having grabbed some stuff to work with from the Bar, so it was mostly putting stuff together that he and Vash had already prepared earlier in the day.]
[ He swatted at Remy's hand with a laugh and scurried to the couch, throwing himself on it and taking the blanket to cocoon himself. He peeked up over the couch arm at his lover. ]
Not really. I was merely assured it all the amenities we would need for a couple's night in.
I was meanin' more the planet. [A smile, then a bit of a sigh.] Haven't had a chance to really look 'round the place with tryin' to work out how the bar runs. Then again, ain't a fan of ice, so, [Leaving the sentence with a shrug of a shoulder. Remy didn't do snow. Sure, was fun now and then, but for the most, no. He was a Southern boy, his blood was thin.]
Now, that place we stopped back 'while ago that felt like home, that I liked. Felt like I was back in the Big Easy.
I'm not much of a fan of the cold either. I've been avoiding it, if I'm
honest. But I think there are hot springs, and those might be worth a look.
Might be in need of a good soak, coming morning.
[ Eyebrow waggle, Remy, eyebrow waggle as he shamelessly watches out,
quiet adoration in his eyes. ]
[Remy was nodding along as Jim spoke, acknowledging he was listening, though broke into a laugh at the last part.] Ahh, always a workout with ya, cheri. [Grinning as he concentrated on what he was making.]
I like the sound of hot springs, 'specially 'round snow, make a nice contrast. 'til ya gotta get out of the water, that be.
I suppose the reward is worth the price on either end.
[ He curled up tighter in his fluffy cocoon, wishing Remy was in it
with him, though watching him move about was pleasant enough on its own.
Besides, he would have all evening to snuggle with his red headed lover.
]
Is it just me, or do we always seem to end up at a cold planet right about
this time of year?
[That stopped Remy in his tracks, turning back to look at Jim.] Ya know, I was just thinkin' that.
[Then back to the food.] Though, I gave up long 'go tryin' to figure out what the Fleet does 'nd why. Maybe just part of the demand or rotation of the show, hein? Winter special for end of the year?
[ It was worth thinking about. It made the Fleet predictable, in one
sense at least, but he couldn't decide if that was comforting or not. He
turned his gaze to the fire, watching the whipping crackle. ]
Speaking of that time of year.... do you have anything you would like for
Christmas?
Hm? [Remy quizzed as he finished plating up the few little snacky things, easy to pick up and eat, basically mini versions of the dishes they were having at the Bar today. He also grabbed two wine glasses and the bottle out of the wine fridge, balancing them all over towards Jim.]
I donno, maybe ya with a ribbon 'round a certain body part. [A bit of a leering grin to go with that as he handed the wine bottle to Jim to open.] Or a motorbike, would love a bike again. Either way, a good ride. [He's so funny, isn't he?]

Sounds like it’s less you coming over and us renting a cabin down planet side.
[ But he did like the sound of it. A lot. ]

Well you do own a bar now, don’t you?
[ he’s already moving to get a bag ready though, gathering clothes for a night. ]

That is exactly what I am suggesting. Go grab it and I’ll pick you up on the Iskaulit and we can head planet side.
[ He was sure they could find a chalet or something easily enough. If nothing else, a nice hotel room. ]
