[ Kurt matches the other man's cocky smile with one of his own, his tail flicking playfully behind him. ]
Is that so? I don't intend to go easy on you, Jim.
[ Punctuated immediately after by Kurt vanishing in his trademark cloud of purple smoke and brimstone. He reappears right behind where the other man was standing, another cloud of thick smoke coming with as he tries to get Jim in the small of the back with his knee. ]
[ He was surprised by the teleportation, but he's already moving when
Kurt pops back out into this reality. He might not be sure where Kurt
intended to pop back out, but it was definitely centered around where he
WAS. So, don't be there when Kurt popped. He threw himself forward in a
roll, which meant Kurt's knee caught his rear and propelled him forward. He
jerked himself back up and lunged back towards Kurt, aiming for his upper
legs in a tackle. ]
[ When his knee connects to softer tissue than expected, a wild sort of joy passes across his face. This was going to be fun!
In his younger years Kurt would've simply teleported again to avoid Jim's lunge, but the memory of pain lancing through his chest spurs him to instead try dodging to the right. He doesn't quite move fast enough; Jim'll have gotten at least one of his legs, the momentum sending him backward. He doesn't fight it, his tail lashing forward to try looping around the other man's waist and jerking, as though to throw him off. ]
[ Damn, he had forgotten the tail. Well, it might be trying to tug,
but Kirk merely tightened his own grip on Kurt, twisting and bucking his
body to attempt to get a new position, or at least get Kurt to release his
tail so he could put distance back between them. That would probably favor
Kurt more than himself, but it would, at least, get him out of the current
predicament which was more a mess than any sort of advantage. ]
[ Said tail is amazingly strong for such a thin limb; capable of supporting Kurt's body weight. It also isn't easy to shake, as he simply tightens it when Kirk starts to throw his grip. The man himself lunges forward, trying to topple the other man onto his back and pin him. ]
[ Well he was learning all sorts of things tonight, wasn't he? He let
himself go briefly limp when Kurt lunged, taking the blow and then quickly
wrapping legs and arms around him, rapidly trying to twist himself in the
grapple. ]
[ Its a smart move, if one that might be difficult to execute. Kurt is incredibly flexible, as is demonstrated when he begins to writhe and twist in Jim's grip. Some of the ways he moves wouldn't be possible for a human man without dislocating multiple joints. But if Jim can hold on, Kurt will settle down after a few minutes, looking up at him with an expression halfway between a glare and a grin. ]
[ Flexible indeed. A fact Kirk would find arousing if not for the
current situation, which he was taking seriously. A lot of twisting and
grappling later, and his grip nearly ready to give - he was but human - he
found himself on top of Kurt, panting, his thighs still gripping the
other's hips rather tightly. He grinned back at him, a flush on his skin
from the exertion, eyes bright. ]
Well you know me. I do so love beating expectations.
[ Kurt's quip came almost on reflex, his attention more firmly on the man straddling him; the grip of his thighs and the sparkle in his eyes both enticing Kurt to lean up and steal a kiss. Briefly, he wonders if it would be wise to tell Jim exactly why he came to him for a sparring partner, but since when has he ever been transparent? Instead he grins back, straining against the other man's grip as though leaning up for that kiss. ] Forgot something, though.
[ Kirk found himself naturally leaning down towards Kurt, as if
sensing the shift in his weight, the straight upward, like a magnet pulled
down. It was hard not to, given their position, which he hadn't meant to
end in a sexual sort of way, but, on the outside looking in, it rather was.
Hard not to feel the slim hips between his legs, or the hard chest beneath
one of his hands. ]
[ Kurt's legs shift as he draws his knees up, as though trying to help Kirk lean down as he leans up. His eyelids lower half-mast, his lips parting enough for his fangs to peek out. When he speaks its in a murmur, the exact tone he uses to speak sweet nothings into a lover's ear. ]
The tail. [ And with no more warning than that, said tail whirls around, intending to wrap around the other man's neck. Kurt has no intention of actually throttling him yet, simply diverting his attention so he can attempt to surge upward and throw Jim off. ]
[ Rude. That was just rude. Even knowing it was a spar and that Kurt
wouldn't really hurt him, his instant reaction is to grip tighter, to throw
himself forward and wrap his arms around Kurt and keep himself close rather
than be tugged away. At least in close he could potentially find a
weakness, cause to distract the other to get the tail to let go. If he was
pushed away he would have no leverage whatsoever. ]
[ Kurt's eyes actually widen: he hadn't expected that reaction. Even knowing it was a sparring exercise, he's rarely known anyone who wouldn't immediately try to get his tail away from their throat. And one of those people was a telepath.
His shocked expression fades quickly into a smirk, the mutant leaning forward as much as he can to press his forehead against Jim's. ] You seem to like it. [ His voice remains a soft, intimate murmur, but the closest thing to an attack he makes is to shift his tail, lift the spade of it to trace over the other man's jaw line. ] Ever thought about growing a beard, Jim?
[ He relaxed some, but he didn't let go of his hold on the other. His
head tilted into the touch of the other's tail, angling his head so that
their noses bumped, so close their breaths could mingle between them.
]
[ His grin only widens, turning a bit wicked as he shifted under Jim--as best he could, anyway. The man did have him well and truly confined. If he'd not been a teleporter, he'd be trapped. ]
I spent my adolescence on a battlefield. Its possible a few wires got crossed. [ That would be a yes, and one that makes his heartbeat quicken in his chest. That fear goes no further, his smirk firmly in place with an air of defiance to it, as though daring Jim to blanche or pull away. ]
[ His eyes sparked, closing the gap between them. Teeth flashed as he
nipped sharp and hard at Kurt's lips. It was a gamble, to be sure. He was
fairly confident that Kurt was interested in him, wanted him, and he wanted
Kurt. But he knew that Kurt was not entirely certain of that side of
himself too. This might be pushing to hard, to fast, but... but he wanted
to try. ]
[ Uncertain is one way to put it. The nineteen-nineties weren't the most progressive time in better timelines, and in his, where the world was taken over and nearly ruined by a madman obsessed with breeding a master race and a flawed understanding of Darwinism? He'd have been killed for acting on his feelings for men.
But this is familiar, the sensation of teeth that has him arching toward the other man. Kurt doesn't make a sound, too accustomed to keeping quiet, but the fire in his eyes says all he needs it to. That, and the hungry kiss he captures Jim's lips in, being none too careful with his own fangs. ]
[ Kirk feels no such worry, no such fear. He loves whom he wishes, as
he wishes. Kurt had been an intriguing enigma for some time - physically
appealing to Kirk, someone who challenged and tested him, and someone, he
thought, who just wanted to know he was accepted. His lips parted for Kurt,
moaning against his mouth. Slowly he slid his hand up, cupping the back of
Kurt’s neck, teasing the fine strands at the base. ]
[ Good spot to pick, Jim; not only does it send notable shivers down Kurt's spine, but if he so chooses he can enjoy the change in texture where velvet fur lengthens into silky hair. Because Kurt is many things, and proud of his appearance is one of them.
The tail looped around Jim's neck loosens and slides down, the spade tracing his spine through the fabric of his shirt like a finger. Kurt's free hand reaches for the other man, fingers ghosting his bicep just before a laugh echoes from outside the gym. The languid pliantness in his body vanishes in a second, Kurt's hand circling Jim's arm as his tail jerks away, presumably for some kind of hidden weapon. There's no one at the door when Kurt jerks his head away to look, and he freezes. ]
[ The sudden tenseness has Kirk pausing, glancing towards the door, a
thin shield against the outside. To thin from the feeling of Kurt against
him. Kirk might not mind, but he imagined Kurt was not so ready to have any
sort of affection on public display. At least, not this kind. He made a
soothing noise in the back of his throat, leaning in to lick the shell of a
pointed ear and then down to his neck, nuzzling into the fur. ]
[ Some of the tension in Kurt's body releases with a soft sigh and a shiver when Jim runs his tongue along the shell of his ear. The hand on his bicep moves up to cup the back of the other man's head, his thick fingers stroking through Jim's hair as the other man nuzzled into his neck. For a moment, he's reminded of Sascha, and has to hold back a giggle. ]
Ja, sounds good. [ But he really, really doesn't have to walk; the startle has left him feeling a little on the outside of his skin. ] ..Don't have a heart condition, do you?
[ So he liked his ear being played with huh? Good to know. He leaned
up to nip the lobe for good measure before turning his head at the
question, giving a husky laugh. ]
[ The nip sends another shudder down his spine, but that laugh hits him low in the chest, his reaction taking him by surprise. Enough so, that he temporarily loses track of where he was going with that question and leans in to try and steal another kiss, his tail moving to lightly loop around Jim's ankle. ]
[ No need to steal. Kirk gives it readily, kissing the other with heat and hunger, tongue slipping along his teeth, curiously exploring the sharp canines. His thighs squeezed Kurt's hips harder, cupping the back of Kurt's jaw in both hands. ]
Re: [text]
No problem. I understand the sentiment completely.
[ He finished stretching and took up a starting position on the mats across from Kurt, a cocky little smile on his lips. ]
Especially since I have no intention of being treated like one.
