[ The message is unexpected, a complete surprised, but a good one.
Kirk breathed in relief to see his friend up and about. The comas were
always tense, wondering if the person sleeping would actual wake up, or
remain in their frozen slumber. The joke gets a laugh. ]
None that we couldn't put out. Glad to see you up, Anders. I was beginning
to worry we'd have to start dusting you.
[He laughs, though it's a touch cracked from a voice not used in a while. He should probably get up and get some water, but it could wait. Plus, he had cats on him, it was illegal to move them.]
Perhaps I'm so old, you'd dust me all away, then who'd be there to poke and prod you for exams and your well-being?
Which reminds me, perhaps we should schedule something soon, it's been a while since I had a good look at you.
[Is he teasing? Most definitely. Kirk's doctor-phobia was admittedly funny to him...even while also annoying for his job.]
I wouldn't want to strain you so soon after waking. I'm sure you need quite
a bit of stretching.
[ Ah there it was, out in full-force. He had begun to talk to Ulaz
about his medical needs - Anders being asleep would not have been medically
helpful in a crisis after all - but even he had not deigned to take a
checkup. He simply didn't do them. No. ]
Which if you want help with, I am more than happy to assist.
