Really it isn't that much of a trial. We have a silver door on the cargo hold and we installed a security system on the ship.

[He laughs a bit.]

Anyway, I do not mind. If you feel that he can help then I would be happy to have him there.
dandyofawolf: (Happy dandy)

[personal profile] dandyofawolf 2018-03-04 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
You know how to reach me to tell me when would be a good time for this, of course. I will wait for your call.

Wonderful. I can come over right away then then. Thank you for this, Captain.

[A problem that involves math? Say no more! Chekov is quite happy to participate, no further details needed. (Although Kirk does give him some details: werewolf, calculating moon cycles, making a calendar.)

Let's talk about lycanthropy.]

[The young man arrives and smiles at both men, tipping his hat to them just like the Victorian gentleman he is.]

Good evening. I must thank you both in advance for this. I really am so grateful.
candothat: ((ノ^_^)ノ)

[personal profile] candothat 2018-03-09 06:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Chekov offers the stranger a hand to shake.]

It's good to meet you, Sandalio. [A glance at Kirk.] And thank you for the commendation, Captain.

[Although you do know that he's a genius in other fields, Kirk, right? Don't undersell him to new people.]
dandyofawolf: (Tilting his hat)

[personal profile] dandyofawolf 2018-03-09 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
[He shakes the young man's hand, memorizing his scent now. It's just sort of a habit these days honestly. Werewolf things.]

A pleasure, Mr. Chekov. I put myself in your most capable hands for this. After all, mapping the skies has never been my particular area of expertise.
candothat: ((´-`))

[personal profile] candothat 2018-03-09 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
Pavel is fine... unless you are like Mr. Jarvis and prefer formality, then Mr. Chekov is also fine.

[Or if Sandalio comes up with a particularly good nickname, that's fair game too.]

We will also need to know what, specifically, causes the changes.
dandyofawolf: (Yooooo-whoooo~)

[personal profile] dandyofawolf 2018-03-09 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Become friends with him and you're guaranteed to get some kind of nickname. But for now...]

It would be impolite to call you anything other than Mr. Chekov when we have only just met.

[He smiles warmly though.]

I can say that it is the moon cycles that cause me to go feral since I am a werewolf. However, I am not certain what moon my body is reacting to presently. I can say that it was before Christmas in 1895 when I was pulled here. As for my first cycle in this location, the full moon would have been March 1st which would mean the three days I was feral would have been February 28th, March 1st, and March 2nd.
candothat: ((゚ー゚;))

[personal profile] candothat 2018-03-12 01:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Simple enough.

[to Biffy:] Will you also let us know about any anomalies? It would be interesting to see if other celestial objects have an affect, and if our speed when drifting causes these changes to happen more frequently.

[Because who hasn't wondered if special relativity affects werewolf transformations?]
dandyofawolf: (Oh!)

[personal profile] dandyofawolf 2018-03-12 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually the next month would be in 1896.

[Since...December is the last month 1895.]

Anomalies? Do you mean if you work out the mathematics to account for the timeline I come from only for my cycles to not line up with that?

[He just wants to be sure he's understanding correctly.]
candothat: (( •⌄• ू )✧)

[personal profile] candothat 2018-03-20 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
We are working on many assumptions.

[Like the one where werewolf cycles are linked to a specific Earth moon in a specific time in a specific universe, yeah. That's a big one.]

Creating a working calendar based on these assumptions will be easy. Maybe they will all be correct and being in a different time, in a different universe, and in proximity to a number of other moons while occasionally traveling faster than light will change nothing.

If nothing else, we'll all know more about lycanthropy in space within a few months' time.
dandyofawolf: (He's got this)

[personal profile] dandyofawolf 2018-03-20 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
Should I make sure to report to you again after my next cycle, Mr. Chekov? So you might add those nights to your calculations?
candothat: (( ・ ̫・))

[personal profile] candothat 2018-03-22 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Report to me? [He's amused by how formal and business-like this is. Maybe a little dismayed as well.] That would be useful, if it's no trouble to you to do so.
dandyofawolf: (Tilting his hat)

[personal profile] dandyofawolf 2018-03-24 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
You are the one that the Captain recommended. It seems to make sense I should come to you. [He nods to Kirk.] With your permission, of course.
