They definitely grew out of the theatre. The theatre still exists, but movies are far more accessible to the masses than theatres - cheaper and more easily distributed.

Each has its merits and I don’t mind a good musical now and then.

It is almost 1896 presently. December.

Yup. I was born in 2233, on one of the USS Kelvin’s medical shuttles, but I grew up in Riverside, Iowa.

A powerful woman. Though intimidating. Rather shameless in a way if I am to be perfectly honest. All the same she is very admirable.

Sounds about right for a ruler, I suppose.

Got it in one. Though I don’t think Iowa exists just quite yet in your time. We don’t get all fifty stars until the early 1900s if I recall correctly.

It does actually. That was how I knew that it was America rather than some other country.

Oh? Heh, I never was very good with the years states became states. Fifty is a bit much to memorize, even for me.

I somehow get the feeling you can easily memorize up to fifty if it happens to be something rather important to you.

Well, you would be right about that. State history was never one of my favorite subjects in school.

So, how's your first week on the ships going?

Well enough. It seems I have a captain who is very understanding of my situation. I am already working with him to ensure that I am secured for when the full moon finally arrives.

Takashi Shirogane.

Oh, Shiro. He's a good guy - a good captain. That's a nice ship to land on. You can definitely trust him.

I am working with his engineer for a security system to be implemented on the ship. Primarily it will be to keep an eye on me in the cargo area but it will be beneficial in other ways too.

Does it really get that bad during the full moon for you?

I become completely feral during those nights. There is a huge risk of me hurting someone without meaning to do so.
