A small 'oomph' left him when Caboose went to his knees and wrapped his arms around him and lifted him up. Sometimes he forgot how strong the other was, especially when he was happy. He laughed, though it was a bit hard given the other was squeezing the air out of him, the claps of the other patrons a dull pounding next to his own heart in his ears.

"Of course I mean it, Mikey," he murmured softly against his ear, kissing it and then his cheek and then his lips, wriggling to get the other to let him down and to his feet. "I want to spend every day with you, adopt every cat with you, and build every pillow fort with you." He took Caboose's hand, slipping the ring onto his finger, stroking the hand and gazing at the adorned digit. "I love you, Mickey. Think it's about time I made it official, huh?"
