If it's any consolation to the crew of Kirk's vessel, Caboose seemed to be getting steadier over the course of his relationship with Kirk. Granted he was still odd and quirky and energetic most of the time but he was getting better at channeling that energy towards other positive things. Having Kirk close by for so long really helped to anchor him, too.

Head tipped back against the seat, he grins at Kirk and squeezes his hand back.

"Yes! And this is nice too, y'know. I always like going on road trips with you. Even when the destination is a surprise."
