It is a nice, quiet part of town - cute, really. Quaint might be the word. And somehow it fit with what he knew of Steve's personality. Which, granted, wasn't much, but he took painting classes with life studies so it seemed the sort of thing to do. He glanced at the eateries as they made for the bar, making a mental note of names and to check menus later. Maybe, you know if there was time after another meeting...

Kirk took in the bar, making a soft approving sound as the atmosphere settled in. He didn't necessarily recognize any faces, but he recognized the style of dress, and he wondered what it meant that Steve had taken him to a SHIELD bar. Well, he wouldn't think on it to hard. He had handsome man he was going to get drinks with, and he intended to enjoy that for all it was worth.

"A beer, if you don't mind? Second round's on me," he winked at Steve. "I'll grab us a booth."
