It's probably fortunate the briefing is so in-depth and a topic that is more than a little interesting. Not that Steve doesn't do his best to pay attention in every briefing, but they can get tedious. Not this one, though. And this mission will certainly be a first. It's going to be a long one - but, Steve thinks, ultimately pretty exciting.
Maybe even rewarding. In more than one way.
Steve isn't surprised - or at all disappointed - to see Kirk appear as the briefing ends and everyone starts to trickle out. He also can't help but laugh, and push his chair back, getting to his feet. "I feel like the only appropriate thing to say here is that the first round's on me," he says, picking up his own materials before sweeping an arm to the other, indicating Steve will follow. Although he doesn't necessarily follow so must as fall nearly in step with, just a tiny bit behind, so they're not walking exactly two abreast. That's just rude if someone needs to get past them in the hall. "Know any good places, or should we get adventurous and see what the internet suggests?"
Steve has gotten very good at Googling for recommendations.
