“I’m going to try,” he nodded, his hand continuing its lazy path over Tim’s skin. “It’s my home. And they’re my family. I have to try and go back.” He was quiet for a beat or two. “I want to take James with me. He thinks he doesn’t deserve to go there, but he does. But it’s all right. I have time to figure out a way to convince him. You’re welcome to come too, if you want. I think planet exploring will suit you.”

He smiled down at Tim, kissing the top of his head.
