Kirk x Wade Wilson (Deadpool - babyhand)

Practically the first thing James T. Kirk did upon his return to Earth - right after airing out the near poisonous level of dust build up in his apartment - was to buy a motorcycle. He had given up his previous one when he received the five year mission. There simply hadn't been sense in keeping up with the storage and other payments on it while he was gone so long and not in need of it.

With the new Enterprise still in construction and going to take the better part of a year and a half to complete, he and his crew had been temporarily reassigned. Sulu had chosen to take on a job with the Fleet on Yorktown to remain with his husband and child. Spock had chosen to go to New Vulcan and aid efforts there until the new Enterprise was complete, and Uhurah had chosen to go with him to further her language studies at their academy. Scotty, Leonard, and Kirk had been sent back to Earth to teach at the Academy. Kirk had been unsure of the placement at first, but it was true he had enjoyed teaching Self Defense. He had returned to that post, along with some general studies on the command track.

It wasn't all together exciting work, true, but it was something to keep him occupied. And when it did not, he had his bike. His bike to ride and let his mind drift and wander, to float in the way he needed it to to banish the memories and ease the ache that came with them.

It was dark, and he had decided to drive into a more deserted part of town, wanting to cut lose on the corners and feel the thrill of speed and danger. It fed that need inside of him, shallow though it might be, but it would get him through until the Enterprise was ready once more.

Lost in thought, he didn't see the shape until it was to late. A flash of black and red, a sharp skid, the pull of gravity. His ears filled with the crunch and scrape of metal, the hiss of leather dragging along concrete as he rolled. He felt the sharp pain of something being knocked out of place, perhaps broken, struggling to breathe as he came to a stop against the wall of a building.

Slowly, coughing so hard his vision blurred he reached to undo his helmet, tossing it off to get air and try and focus on the world again.

"Hey-!" Cough, slowly forcing himself up at least onto his elbows. "Hey is someone else there-?!"
